Conservation and renovation of 1940’s rural cottage in North Co. Clare. Original one-over-one timber sliding sash windows were carefully repaired with like-for-like materials by a specialist window conservationist. The original cast iron no.8 Stanley range was fully restored, retaining all original parts. Original mohar flag kitchen floor and all original joinery retained. New interventions includes bespoke oak plate racks, solid oak countertops and painted birch plywood kitchen cabinets. Handmade bespoke naturally rusted iron inset to cast iron fireplace in parlour. All surviving vernacular furniture to include kitchen dresser and súgan chairs retained and re-used.
